- Left knee -from banging it against the handlebar trying not to fall in the sand
- Right knee - general pain from over exertion
- Left hand - loss of strength in two fingers due to the constant pounding on the dirt roads. Janet, who is doing the tour for the second time said “Don’t worry; it’s just some nerve damage. It will get worse in Kenya though.”
- General Back pain- from sleeping on a 2 inch thermarest for 2 weeks
- Right Buttock - think I pulled something
- General Bum Malaise - from sitting on the bike for 4 – 6 hours a day
- Extremely chapped lips - feels like they’re bleeding. Maria’s lips have swollen up so much that she looks like she has gotten collagen injections.
- Feet - for some unknown reason the skin on my feet is peeling off in strands….can’t explain it. You have to see it…not that you would want to.
- Itchy head…due to the filth of course
- One bout of traveler’s runs. (Hey…we DID promise to blog about the good, the bad and the ugly)
