Great news! Spiros is feeling much better and we have officially gotten the okay from the doctor. We’re back on the tour baby!!!! We set off from Arusha with all the other riders tomorrow.
We’ve spent the past couple of days getting ready. We’ve greased the chains, cleaned the bikes and, when no one was looking, kissed them too. Our red boxes…oh how we missed our red boxes… have been cleaned, packed and repacked just for the fun of it. I even gave mine a quick hug… couldn’t help it.
After a month of easy livin’, we are no doubt chubbier and slower. In all honesty though, who cares if we are ‘bringing up the rear’ or if my bikes shorts are cutting off the circulation in my legs? The important thing is that we will be back on the bikes tomorrow, happier and more grateful for this incredible experience then ever before. Life is sooooooooooo good.

Yo!
You can not imagine how thrilled I am here in Southern Cal…well actually..you can… and you know that I was squealing quite loudly when I read this post that you are both back on the bike!!!! (Plus Maria, glad Miss Specialised received a welcome back kiss and I hope that the riding outfits were mutually discussed!..tee hee).Such a small world as you will not believe that the ride out of Arusha was also my ‘return to riding - day one’ in 2007…cast and all!!!!. Love…love..love that Spiros you are back on the bike..no point me telling you to take it easy as you will feel amazing and the ride to lunch is fantastic. I rode out of Arusha like a banshee..mad woman possessed and loved it!
On another note, apologies for your bike not being clean and sparkling. When we got to Moyale there was only sufficient water for people to clean bodies and I did try to sneak a bucket for Mr Specialised but couldn’t swing it. We also tried to secure it with the blanket but Afroutes was packing them and we had no say. Hope they were not in too bad a shape.
Also if you ever get tired on being on the bike..you won’t..but here’s a thought..chuck in your day job when you get home and publish a photography book! Your photographs are hot! I went through them all this morning and they brought joy, smiles and warm fuzzies especially having been there with you. Makes me want to fly back to Arusha anbd ride the second half.
Big hugs to both of you and try not to have too much fun!!

Great to hear that you both had the chance to go of safari - but even better that you are back on the bikes and going to be continuing on the journey!!!

Godspeed!!
I feel sick with envy . . . the photos are amazing . . .
My suggestion would be to include a comment system with the photos, but you may feel that less clutter makes a better viewing experience.
