Actual Sign of Life

Sorry for the long delay between posts, access over the past few weeks has been bleak. The good news is we’re alive and well, with lots of photos and thoughts to share. We’ve added several blogs that we prepared along the way. Some of the blogs are from Spiros, some are from me. You can easily tell the difference; Spiros writes things like “stunning vistas through broken clouds” and I write things like “I soiled myself today”. Okay…that didn’t really happen, but you get the idea. :D

We have plenty of new photos to share, but unfortunately are having trouble uploading them. We’ll try again soon. Sorry about that!

We are currently in Lilongwe, Malawi, which is surprisingly big and a much more modern city than we all expected. We have a rest day and are off again tomorrow. In two days we have a 197 km day…ONE HUNDRED NINETY SEVEN KM day!!! Yikes. 8O That can only mean one of three things. If there is a tailwind, it’ll just be a long day. If there is no wind, it will be a very tough day. If there is a headwind…well, that will just be carnage; exhausted cyclists curled up on the side of the road next to their bicycles, clutching onto their fifth energy bar of the day and muttering incoherently…something about “EFI” ..and “*%@#%! TDA”. Its’ good fun…really! :D

Anyway, hope everyone is well. Enjoy the pictures.
