It’s funny how when you first go to a foreign land, all you notice are the differences; different food, different language, different clothes, different customs. But then inevitably, you notice a parent kissing their child, old friends greeting each other with a smile or you share a laugh with a person from that “different world” and you’re reminded again of how the “same” we really are. On the surface your lives seems worlds apart, and yet you share the same hopes, same desires.
It’s cliché to say, I know, but that doesn’t make it any less true or any less heart warming.
