On Monday we loaded our bikes onto the train in Avignon, 3 hours later we were in beautiful Paris (the TGV train really does go very fast). In a few short days and with mixed emotions we’ll get on a plane headed to Thailand. We’re gutted that we’re leaving and to be closing yet another chapter of our whirlwind tour but thrilled to be going to South East Asia, bicycles in toe.
For now, we’re enjoying being in this world class city again. We rented a tiny but cute studio in the Marais area of Paris (much cheaper then a hotel) and have located our favourite boulangerie. Everything is ridiculously expensive, so we’re locked out of restaurants and the like but walking lazily up and down the streets and by the Seine will do us just fine thanks. A week in Paris during the fall; not a bad way to wrap up this part of our tour.
